Présentation
Gap, prefecture of Hautes-Alpes, is located in the border of Ecrins and Provence.
It is, with more than 36 000 inhabitants, the more important city of the Hautes-Alpes.
Is altitude of 745m make it the highest prefecture of France. Gap benefits of a Mediterranean and an alpine climate
that make a sunning of almost 300 days per year. Even during the winter, the sometimes abundant falls of snow are
always followed of a rapid return of the sun.
Gap is, thanks to its quality environment
and equipment, a very sporting city. It offers a lot of activities for all taste and ages.
The surrounding nature is so close, so you have to make just fex kilometers to discover and fully appreciate it.
We can also benefit of is midtown
bordered of shops, by foot or by cycle. We can discover the Jean Marcelin place where the producers of all the surrounding valleys come every saturday and wednesday,
in summer or winter, in order to presents their fruits, vegetables and specialities of mountain.
